Isaac A. Bennett, 30
Isaac Aaron Bennett entered into the eternal rest of our Heavenly Father on December 30, 2018 peacefully at home. Born on December 27, 1988, he was the son of Audrey Bennett and Charles Bennett. A Native of Woodbridge, Virginia, Isaac matriculated through Prince William County School system, becoming a member of the National Honor Society of Secondary Schools, graduating from Freedom High School in 2009.
Isaac loved people and enjoyed helping others. He was heavily involved with his community and active in many organizations. Isaac participated with Special Olympics from 1999-2015, competing in Track and Field.
Isaac was a part of the Access Ministry at McLean Bible Church where he served with various ministry programs such as the Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Drive, Outreach, and the MBC Choir. In addition, Isaac enjoyed various recreational activities and fun with the Arc of Greater Prince William and especially looked forward to all of the dances where he could show off his signature “Dougie.” Isaac enjoyed bowling, swimming, going to the movies, traveling and playing basketball.
Isaac loved Jesus and was a believer in Christ whose life conveyed this. He faithfully attended McLean Bible Church and Capernaum Young Life where he learned all about the gospel at bible study, and also could enjoy his time with his peers at Friendship Club. He would always look forward to club because he was able to perform his “air guitar” solo and sing before bible study.
Like the meaning of his name, Isaac loved to laugh. He had a smile that would radiate and brighten anyone’s day. He would express his love with a hug, or pat on the back, and in his own way would give an encouraging word or gesture right when you needed it. Being around Isaac was a complete joy and once you’ve been around him you could learn more patience, kindness, and how to be a better person.
Family was important to Isaac and meant so much to him. Isaac leaves to cherish his beloved Mother Audrey Bennett of Woodbridge, VA; Father, Charles Bennett (Flora) of Duluth, GA; Four siblings, Lisa Smith (Warren) of Dale City, VA, Monica Dorman (Joseph “JoJo” Jr.) of Delmar, MD, Atilya Finley (Robert) of Woodbridge, VA and Antoine Bennett (Hilary) of Woodbridge, VA; Fifteen nieces and nephews; One great-niece and one great-nephew; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.
