Laurel J. Rupert, 71
Laurel Jean Rupert, 71, of Dale City, died January 23rd, 2018, at Fairfax Hospital after a long and difficult illness with pulmonary fibrosis. She was a registered nurse for forty-five years before her retirement from Fairfax Hospital’s Comprehensive Addiction Treatment Services (CATS) Program in 2012. Laurel was also the President of the Canfield, Ohio American Legion Post 177 Women’s Auxiliary, was a Girl Scout leader for over twelve years, PTO President, and “Team Mom” for many of her children’s sports teams.
Mrs. Rupert is survived by her mother, Nina M. Cook, her husband, Stanley; daughters, Holley Scheffel of Woodbridge, Heather Fruzzetti of Ashburn, and son, Marc Rupert of Dale City. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Trevor Mason Webb, Kaitlynn May Rupert, Katrina Leslie Rupert, Kyla Noel Fruzzetti, Addison Alys Fruzzetti, Mya Grace Fruzzetti, and Keira Ivy Willow Rupert.
Services are scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 3rd at 12:30 p.m. at Miller Funeral Home, 3200 Golansky Blvd., Woodbridge. The family will receive visitors from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. prior to the service.
