Thomas C. Farina, 62
Thomas Carl Farina, 62, of Woodbridge, Virginia passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2018. He was the beloved father of Amanda Farina Morris, married to Evan Morris.
Born in Reading, PA he was the loving son of Patricia and Ronald Farina, who still reside there. Tom attended Exeter Township Senior High School where he was a three-sport athlete playing baseball, basketball and football. He was inducted into the Exeter High School Hall of Fame, along with his teammates, for their standout ‘73-74 basketball season that took them to the Pennsylvania State Championship.
Tom relocated to Virginia as a veteran of the U.S Army and graduated from George Mason University, where he and his then-wife, Kim, raised their daughter Amanda. His passion for sports took him from participant to youth coach. Tom was an avid golfer and successful Realtor for over 25 years. He will be remembered for being a friend to all in the community.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law; his mother and father; brother Michael Farina of Tennessee, his wife Alice Farina and their three children, Jason, Nic and Zac; cousin James Bolognese of New Jersey, his wife Debbie Bolognese and their daughter, Jodi.
Tom’s extended family includes his Aunt Jean Reck and Uncle Ed Korpalski, Aunt Margaret Gerhard Sotak, Uncle Robert Reck, Uncle Joseph and wife Dolores Bolognese, Aunt Louise Farina Bolognese and cousins Kathleen Korpalski Rhode, Doreen Gerhard Kuhn, Wallace Gerhard, Karen Gerhard Wertz, Susan Reck McGee and Cheri Reck Lewis.
Tom’s family will celebrate his life on Thursday, September 20 at the Army Navy Country Club of Fairfax, Virginia from 4pm – 6:30pm.
